This is my variation developed from a bunch of recipes on the web, Slice the beef thinly while partially frozen. Marinate it for 15 - 30 minutes in the soy sauce, olive oil, sesame oil, and wine vinegar.
Add 2 tablespoons of canola oil to a fry pan and heat for 30 seconds. Add the garlic and ginger and stir-fry for 30 seconds. Add the beef and strir-fry until beef is cooked through. Remove beef and add broccoli. Cook until tender but firm. Return meat to the pan. If there is not enough liquid for the sauce add some beef stock. Add the corn startch stir until the sauce thickens.
